A Walk On The Quiet Side.
It’s time for me to take a rest. I’m making myself take a break for a few weeks so that my thoughts can become uncluttered and I can start some new blogs. But I shall not be idle. I have some old cemeteries to visit and churches to see. And hopefully they all will give me some new insights to share with you.
The Prophet Isaiah tell us…
Isaiah Ch40 (31) But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
And Jeremiah declares….
Jeremiah 6 (16) This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls….”
I love the verse in David’s “Shepherd’s Psalm” – Psalm 23, where it says…
(2) He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
Two key words in that verse are “makes” and “leads”. One old commentary that I read about this Psalm said that the sheep actually do need to be made to lie down. If they weren’t made to lie down then they would just wander all over the place and destroy the pastures. They need to be led to new pastures, for if they weren’t they would wander all over the place and get lost.
So, I’m gonna take a break for a few weeks….
Psalms Ch37 (7) Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
And hopefully, in a few weeks, my thoughts will have started to bear more ideas for me to share with you.
Psalm Ch1 (3) He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season. Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
And you also should take the break. Get to know God better. Sing His songs more often. Pray to him often. Even a single comment of praise in a single moment of prayer is enough. Praise Him anyway. For the devil really doesn't care how well we sing or how loudly we shout. But I'll tell you this much, he's terrified of how often we pray.
And hopefully we can come back and enjoy some new blogs and new thoughts in a few week’s time.

Jeremiah Ch31 (12) Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The son of god discloses.
And he walks with me, and he talks with me,
And he tells me I am his own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The son of god discloses.
And he walks with me, and he talks with me,
And he tells me I am his own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
